AOD Software - Answers On Demand Announces Partnership with The Kendal Corporation and Widener University for Electronic Health Record (EHR) Pilot Study

Fort Lauderdale, FL, January 16, 2009 – AOD Software - Answers On Demand is proud to announce that it has formed a partnership with The Kendal Corporation and Widener University to conduct a pilot work flow analysis to study the process of implementing AOD’s AnswersElite® Electronic Health Record (EHR) System.

The pilot will involve implementations of AOD’s EHR System at two of The Kendal Corporation’s affiliate locations, with Widener University providing a research team to perform the analysis.

A major objective of this study is to produce collateral reference materials for institutions in long term care. These materials will educate the management at the institutions on workflow changes associated with the transition to EHR and how it will improve the quality of care for their residents.

Widener’s team is led by Dr. Penelope Sue Greenberg, an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Greenberg, who earned her Ph.D in accounting at The Ohio State University, has an extensive research background that includes authoring and co-authoring articles in numerous respected research publications including the Business Process Management Journal and Journal of Computer Information Systems.

“We are privileged to participate in this valuable study and play a leadership role in our field by fully implementing electronic health records,” said Judith Braun, Director of Affiliate Services at The Kendal Corporation. “We are confident that our participation will lead to better services that we will be able to provide for our residents and staff. Furthermore, we are pleased that we will have the ability to contribute to others in our field by sharing the findings of this study.”

“We are excited to showcase the ease of implementation and value that AOD’s AnswersElite® Electronic Health Record (EHR) System delivers for CCRC’s,” said Aric Agmon, President and CEO, AOD Software. “Our partnership for this study with The Kendal Corporation and Widener University will fully enable other CCRC’s to best take advantage of our product and create better efficiencies.”

At the conclusion of the study a formal report will be presented at various top industry events and at the AOD Software annual User’s Conference.
